These are considered accidental or competitive events. Absent any conclusive evidence that the loss you may have experienced in such circumstances was motivated by the other party's desire to harm you, or to deliberately deprive you of something that was yours, or to intrude upon your person or property, then there has been no actual loss of freedom.

In a competitive or random situation such as these, although the will of an individual may be interfered with to some degree, we view the intervention as though it were accidental or a random act of nature, and not a loss of freedom in the real sense.
