"The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them."

--- Patrick Henry

Lesson 31 - The Fear of Freedom Print E-mail

License and anarchy imply non-responsibility, and are not actually reflective of a state or condition of complete freedom.

Human energy will always be controlled. The question is: Who will control it?

If we promote a situation in which it is presumed that one individual or group of individuals can rightfully control the energies of other individuals, then we will have a condition of slavery.

If, however, we have a situation of freedom, it would have to mean that each person controls him or her self. Slavery is imposed external control. Freedom is self-control, no more, no less.

The problems we face in the world today do not exist because we have so many people who are free. Our problems exist, in large part, because we have so many people who wish to be slave masters over other people!

Whether de facto, or legally recognized, slave masters impair freedom, they do not maintain or advance it.

The free individual, man or woman, will not willingly be controlled by another. Equally true, is that an individual who is truly free will not seek to control another.
