Page 4 of 4 In this connection, a threat to commit a trespass is rightfully viewed as a molestation, even if the threatened act does not in fact occur. The threat too violates the will of an owner in respect to what he or she owns. If someone threatens to violate a property boundary, the owner will probably have to revise his actions, or least take the time and expend energies and effort to avoid, prevent, counter, or curtail the threat. The threat then is itself an act of theft, for it is robbing the owner of his time and energy through the imposition (or threatened imposition) of another's will. The only way a person can avoid improper (anti-proprietary) action is to become very much aware of the property rights of others, and to conduct himself with full respect and regard for the property boundaries of others.
